The person that admitted this to you is a very honest person. We all at one point or another will react to things on a stronger emotion because we are in a bad mood. Sometimes fighting or arguing can make us feel better by getting some built up frustration out. I don't think that most of us "Create" Arguments for a fight but I do think that we subconsciously look for someone to bounce our negative feelings off of.

Hahaha. I can relate to your friend. I have done this before. But there is a difference between fighting and arguing that people don't seem to realize. Two people can have an argument that only involves them debating a topic. Doesn't have to be a fight. It can even get heated as long as it doesn't turn into name calling and personal insults. I like to argue because it's fun to debate a topic. I have been in many heated arguments that I wouldn't consider a fight just because there's no real malice. Just a drive to prove your point. Though it does seem that many arguments turn into fights. Just a matter of keeping yourself at bay.

That is called playing the ''Devil's Advocate" and, no, I do not like doing that.
Many men I have known enjoy playing devil's advocate just to get into a heated argument or sometimes to interject a differing point of view.

Yeah....but it's fun. Try it sometime ;)

When I get really angry or extremely bored...I argue for no reason. Usually, the reason always ends up as something thought - provoking. Sometimes, I think I'm better when I go kinda insane...

I don't, personally, but I believe some people do. SOme people communicate better through anger, so they pick a fight so they can communicate clearly.
