I want to buy a nokia phone on ebay from the states, can I unlock it to put my own prepaid sim card in it? I have put my sim card in other unlocked phones I just dont know if this one will work

yes it will work, however most tmobile phoens have the data settings locked with branded software, so some data festures may be inaccessable out of the box. voice and text will work for sure though.

Please make sure your new phone will be sim-unlocked GSM phone wiht the right band frequency, and your prepaid sim card is still go out of its service life. then they can work with each other well. You can, I just wouldn't recomend it, the roaming charges for t-mobile calling to/from canada, are like 1.30 a min.......if ur going to do that, switch to a t-mobile in Canada.
