It has alot of spyware etc and the screen says computer is in danger run special spyware now- I have run avast/ spybot/ and adaware on it but the screen is still there! It is not hooked up to the internet and will not be if we can get it to work- just for my son to play music and write etc- Thanks for any and all helpful info!

We do not have that pc connected to the internet but can use the usb stick to switch info over ????

Install UBUNTU, EUBUNTU or XUBUNTU if your computer has less than 256MB of RAM. When you get to the partioning prompt, select - take over the entire disk.

It's a free, reliable and up to date operating system.

You can explore it from the "LIVE CD".

It's easy to install and use. You can dual boot it with other operating systems.

Once you have it installed, you gain access to thousands of free programs created by the open source community. There is excellent support - see the WIKI starter guide, and the Linux forums.

Always back up your data before making changes to your computer.

You need to upgrade,especially for music. Windows XP is the best buy right now. Stay away from Vista until the bugs are worked out.

go to the system tools and do a system restore
