If your friends don't like you just because you like someone that they don't, then they really aren't your true friends, are they? Be friends with who YOU want, it's the only way you'll be happy.

If your "friends" don't like you anymore because you talk to someone you think is interesting but they don't like her....I think your better off befriending the other girl. Cuz your 3 friends obviously arn't true friends.
Once your out of high school, cliques and popularity isn't important to anyone anymore. But in high school is when you really see who your true friends are because of situations like this.
I know it's hard to accept it if you wern't friends with them anymore but think of how it would look if you stopped talking to this girl just because these so called friends wanted you to stop talking to her. Would you really feel good about yourself?You'd be a follower and people would see that you don 't have a mind of your own. And you'd rather look cool then be yourself.

You know that you are the bigger person because you befriended someone that others chose not to and did not allow them to influence your choice. That makes you a leader and not a follower.
You just continue being friends to this new girl and treat the old friends exactly the same as you have always treated them. If they are indeed your real friends they will get over it and continue being the friends they were before.
No matter what...keep being yourself.

Be a leader not a follower. If you like the girl in your class that's your choice. You should not talk to her just because your other friends don't like her -- make your own choices. I think this actually speaks of how shallow your other friends are that they would "disown" you because you want to talk to whomever you please. When people reveal themselves to you, take heed. Sounds to me as though you should think about whether these other 3 friends, were really friends to begin with . .

well if they were ur true friends or even close friends then they would not mind that you have her as a friend. i know because i know a lot of people and my friends dont like them but they still talk to me. as long as u dont force them to talk to one another.

if your "friends" can give you the freedom to choose, they were never really your friends to begin with.
you have the right to make new friends anytime you like.
i don't see what you're worried about. apparently you are the better person.

girls are weird..
in my opinion your 3 friends are not really good friends if they can not accept you talking to this other girl..
you should be able to talk to whomever you wish..
and be friends with whomever you wish..
