My promised land is the place where it will be good for me to live, where I may enjoy staying unexposed and free.
My promised land is where my neighbor will never give me any trouble about any boundary lines and neither because of any trespassing, and neither vill disturb me with any annoying noises or polluting chemicals.
My promised land is where no haughty leaders will want me to ever die for the fatherland of theirs as a warrior-soldier or as a suicide bomber or as a hero of any other sort whatsoever.
My promised land is where no saintly religious leaders will ever want or compel me to believe in their dogmas and neither to be humbly kneeling in front of their altars in adoration unto them and unto their idols and unto their holy symbols.
My promised land does not seem to be of this World. My promised land is away, away, past the nearby hills of the soul, in yonder place of brighty dreams and dazzling reveries.
My promised land is where all the ever glowing promises of life may become real for me.

Heaven is the promise land and will always be. Sometimes it takes longer for us to get there and others not that long.
