Go to the store and buy A-Z-O Standard (or equivalent) it will make the pain and discomfort go away. It will stain your clothes if you are not careful and it will turn you pee orange. but then you MUST go to the doctor. Do not wait to go to the doctor. It is too late for home remedies. Cranberry juice is very popular but you have to drink way too much for you to get the right amount to help. I drank so much once that it made me throw up, and yet it still didn't help with my UTI.

By the time you've got a bladder infection, it's too late for home remedies. Do not hesitate to go to the doctor and you will need antibiotics. Waiting can cause the infection to travel up into your kidneys, where it can become so severe as to be life-threatening.
Cranberry juice (and it must be UNsweetened, which tastes yuck) will lower the PH of your urinary tract and may help in the future to prevent more infections. But once you've got it, you must treat it with antibiotics.

Cranberry juice/pills are suppose to help prevent them but I haven't had any success. I get one about 6 times a year!
You MUST go see your doctor to bet some antibiotics. It is important because the infection can spread to your kidneys and then you have a major problem.

You need to go to a doctor so they can prescribe antibiotics to kill the infection & keep it from spreading through your whole urinary tract & into your kidneys. Cranberry juice will only help with the symptoms, it will NOT kill the bacteria or the infection.
I use to get these things three or four times a year when I was in high school. Ended up in the hospital with one because I didn't go to the doctor until it had spread to my kidneys & the pain & fever were so bad I couldn't stand it anymore.

If you're having a bladder infection that may require medical treatment since that can be the sign of something else and that you need to have a doctor examine for.

My daughter gets this and you can go to the pharmacy and ask for an over the counter pill to alleviate the pain. It will turn your pee orange and stain your undies, but will help. Then go to your doctor to get a prescription.
