Hey...here's a link to a site with the plusses and minuses of each format. Based on what the site says, I would say that fat32 may be the better choice based on that you will be using it for an itunes library. It will give you more options if your songs are lost, etc. Hope that's helpful.

If they are both Windows 2000 or later, you can format FAT32 or NTFS.
You'll need NTFS is you are setting security on the files, and it's a tiny more robust than FAT32.
But check with the specs on the unit to see if they require FAT32, some units do.

NTFS will format larger drives (Fat32 is limited to 132Gb, I think! but don't quote me!) and is more robust. I do use FAT32 on my external hard drives that I share with my Linux machines. If you aren't using Linux go with NTFS.

If both machines are running NT based windows or newer(NT, 2000, XP, vista)
Then go with NTFS

NTFS more stable. If you din use win98 or winme then you better use NTFS format.
