Biggie Smalls was the greatest rapper of all time listen to his lyrics kick in the door, Juicy, life is a everyday struggle, Big Poppa and so on. no rapper could rhyme like Biggie!! Tupac was okay!! but biggie was more raw, gritty, life in the hood aint easy.

Rakim of Eric B. & Rakim was the best to ever touch a mic!

I like Jay-Z,Tupac, Biggie, Ludacris, but none of them can touch Rakim lyrically!

As for longevity - Mr. Todd Smith aka LL Cool J. This dude has been in the "game" for over 20 years, and I don't think he is done yet. He just signed on with 50 Cent last summer! But even he can't touch Rakim.

Depends, if you talking about lyrics, I would say Eminem. If you talking about the clarity when they rap, then I would say Ludacris or Tupac.
