Zimbabwe is a land locked country and without the support of South Africa no military action could be launched.
Britain has particular political problems being the 'old colonial power' and input even if well meant is not appreciated overtly so 'behind the scenes' is as much as we can do.
It is not true to say that Zimbabwe has no resources the world could use, it once was a massive contributor to the food resources of Africa as a whole.
Finally for now, huge parts of Africa are already even more unstable then Zimbabwe. Zanu PF may be corrupt at the top and violent at the bottom but Zimbabwe is still in 'better ' shape than Ethiopia, Congo etc.
Same reasons in many cases more is not being done about Sudan.
We should be doing more in the refugee area of work particularly in South Africa where the camps need a lot more resources.

Does Afghanistan have oil?
Ivory Coast, Haiti, Israel:Lebanon. French military presence - no oil.
And why the obsession with Zimbabwe of all countries in the world with dodgy regimes?

why the facination with oil ???. most enviromentalist are already saying that water is in short supply. and that is going to be the bone of contention very soon. as for the west not helping in zimbabwe why should we let the east and africa sort it. all they do is complain and attack us when we help.

It has nothing to do with oil. Zimbabwe isn't paying & training terrorists. We have no national interests there.

Yes, it's disgusting no one has come to their aid. So much for your United Nations who are supposed to be the police of the world. And, if they did a proper job.... the UK and the USA wouldn't have to do all the dirty work by themselves

For centuries money has been thrown at Africa.
It is still a barbaric country run by war lords.
There will never be a day when Africa can be helped. If we built it they would tear it down.
Look at some of our citys.
