I'm aways told it doesn't matter what position the baby is in until the 37th week.
If the baby is breech at 37 weeks then most likely they'll perform a Version, when the physically move the baby from the outside of the womb with their hands. I had it done with my first pregnancy, it is uncomfortable but totally worth it. There is a small chance the baby could turn back into breech position but very small chance.
There are also risks of going into labor while the Version is being performed but the monitor you the entire time.
Anything else they would have to perform c-section but they don't like to unless they absolutely have to.
You still have a while to go so you shouldn't be worried about it now!!
I was worried my entire pregnancy, 2nd baby 36 weeks, that this baby would be breech too but so far she's still head down and it looks like she's staying that way.
I worried myself for nothing!! There's still plenty of time, i'm not even sure why your doctor told you that the baby was breech most don't even check yet. Last week, 35 weeks, was the first time a midwife checked me and she said it was still early.

Don't be worried. He has plenty of time to flip.
My middle daughter was in the frank breech postition. She turned that way at 28 weeks, and stayed that way. Doctors don't worry about a breech baby until you are 38 weeks. But, even a breech baby at 39 weeks can flip. If he doesn't turn then you will have to have a c-section, but you shouldn't even think about that right now.
Good Luck!! I hope he will flip!! If you have any ? you can e-mail me if you want.

I'm not sure what "Frank" means .. but my baby is breech too! Has been since conception .. but I'm 23 weeks pregnant so there's plenty of time for him to turn.
Most breech babies turn about a week before delivery when they "drop".
good luck! God bless!

at 6 months pretty much ALL babies are "breech" Generally they don't start to turn until AT LEAST 7 1/2 months. One of my daughters didn't turn until AFTER I was induced.

If you are only 6 mos, you have TONS of time for your baby to turn. Nothing to worry about and nothing to do at such an early stage. Baby can turn right up until you're in labor.....even IN labor!

if he is in this position at birth he will not be able to be turned a c -section will be preformed. which is possible the easiest way to give birth i am told.
