Your best bet is to do a search on ebay. The baseball card price guides from magazines usually don't fetch those amounts. If your cards are from the late 80s, early 90s, they probably won't be worth much aside from a select few. Most collectors are into graded cards now (a company like Beckett or PSA would give it a grade to how perfect the card is) while others are into collecting the new limited cards that have autographs or game used items as part of the card. But yea, check ebay....it'll give you a rough idea of the worth of the card and the interest by the public as well.

You can get a Beckett baseball card monthly magazine. Baseball cards are worth money, but it depends on what you get. I think that the Biggio and Bagwell cards book for 50 cents each and the Ryan books for $1.

Condition has a lot to do with card values. Also the rarity of a card, a player's rookie year, etc , all go into determining values. Often a collector is trying to secure a card to complete a series or year.

Beckett has produced a price guide for cards with varying grades for as long as I can remember.

Baseball cards are still big business. Your cards sound like they are from the late 1980s. Unless they are in great shape, you won't get rich. Check the individual stars' cards on eBay, or stop at your local public library to see if they have Beckett's or the Standard Price Guide to Baseball Cards.

no. in todays world of cards the crooks of the business and f'ed it up even more. cards have to "graded" a newer term that the crooks have set up so that why only their cards will be worth anything. not the kids who have them as well.
there was a big article on about this on yahoo about a year ago how many of the people running the business now have serious fraud and criminal back grounds....to the point where more than 90% of all autographs out there are fake...these guys know it becaue they faked them.
come on how's gonna have a stack of 100 albert pujols cards all autographed and selling them for 100 bucks.

The best way to find out what they are worth would be to buy a Beckett Baseball pricing guide. I can tell you that they are still worth something, but it is getting increasingly difficult to find buyers. Don't expect to get book value either. ebay is probably your best bet to get good money
