Actually I was working with the Cree people here (I do social work) and found their superstitions interesting. One family had an owl hoot on their roof and were really worried because they thought something really bad would happen. But when a white weasel crosses your path, it is supposed to be very lucky. They had a million things like that. Most of the superstitions were animal related.
