I prefer Dell computers. I have 2 and they work great. They also have great deals and coupons you can find at http://www.24houredeals.com/Dell-coupons-23-mer.html

Good luck.

Acer because you can't buy dell in the shops. Acer's also do not have exploding batteries fitted to them nor do they try and rip you off when you buy on line. Try it for yourself. Look at the one they got advertised in the press for £349 then see how much it is when you go online. It took me a while before I realised you have to untick the extra maintenance and anti virus.

There is also a programme on the net you can download called pc de-crapifier, laugh you may, but its true google it. The programme is aimed at dell pc's for getting rid of all that junk software you don't need. You don't get that with Acer

There is not enough information provided to properly answer this question. Some Dell machines are better than Acers and vice versa.

Figure out which model from each company you are most interested in and post that as a question.

Oh, and don't be bullied into buying a Mac if you don't want one.

Personally I would prefer the Acer machine, they are both quite good but the main problem with Dell is they use non standard parts made especially for them. This is not a problem until you decide to upgrade or require a repair. In many cases only Dell specific parts can be used. As I regularly upgrade my computer Dell would not be my choice. however it's really up to you if that bothers you or not. good luck with your new machine whatever you choose.

Don't get a dell, their horrible, they have the worst tech support ever. Bad experience with Dell and I've talked with others that feel the same way.

I've never had an Acer, so I couldn't tell you. But my personal favorite is hp, but pretty much any PC that is not a Dell should be good.

It really depends. I know Dells that can beat the crap out of Acers and Acers that can beat the crap out of Dells. Your question is like "Which is better: Ford or Chevy?", even though even that can be determined easier than your question. Really it depends on how good your parts are.

Dell!

That is like comparing Ford to Chevy.

You can always find people who say one is better than the other. But as far as components go, they are pretty much the same.

Your best bet would be to base your decision on price and customer support.

Do a little research into the customer service for each company and use that to help you decide.
