i used to, when i was younger and less experienced but now i know the correct way to hold the neck, and the right amount of tension on the cork just brings it out smooth and sweet.

I tend to cover mine with a sock....so as not to make a mess any where else.....This goes a long way to explaining the single sock washer syndrome as well.......
