Just like any star. Mostly hydrogen. Some helium. A smattering of heavy elements.
Its metallicity (proportion of elements heavier than hydrogen) is a bit more (130-230%) than the sun's.
edit: you know by looking at spectral lines--each element leaves unique "fingerprints" on the light coming from the star

2 or 3 stars, probably a few planets and rubble...
If you want to know what elements are there, just open up a Periodic Table of the Elements. It's in the same universe as earth, after all!

Alpha Centauri is a 3 star system. Do you mean Alpha Centauri A, Alpha Centauri B, or Proxima Centauri?
