use 3 parts water to 1 1/2 parts white vinegar in a fine mist spray bottle. Just like you would febreze; however, after spraying leave the windows and doors closed for 2 hrs in a shaded area. Open all the windows and let it air out for another 2 hours and the smell will be gone except for a lite barely noticeable sweet scent. Now you could also add some additional sent like musk rose, new car, flowers or what ever you fancy. But, only add about 1/4 parts of the scenting to the spray. Do not get the interior soaked with the solution. Just a lite mist spray; you can always do it again if the sent still remains; but, too much and you will have to live with the smell of vinegar for a couple of days. That's what they use when they find a dead body that been in a vehicle for a few days.

Odoban is pretty good for cleaning carpet and seats. But, for getting rid of odors - Better idea - Someone else mentioned charcoal. I have the perfect product that I've used for years and know dozens of other people that use it. It is a product called FRIDGE IT odor absorbers. It is a little purple cube with an incredible activated carbon filter inside that is really, really, great. It works so much better than baking soda and all those sprays and fragrances that just cover up smells and doesn't get rid of them. Also, alot of sprays have warning statements about being eye irritant. The carbon literally absorbs and eliminates the odors and works for a long time. Just place a couple of these in the car and trunk. . I use this product everywhere including car(smoke and pet smells), storage, closets, my fridge and also under sinks, near trash and have friends that use it on cat litter box and also diaper pails - it's that good. I really recommend it. You can buy it in kitchen gadget sections in stores like walmart and linens and things. I also think camping world sells it. Someone else even said available in England. Definitely worth trying

Get your car interior professionally cleaned. Smoke smell is extremely persistent and nothing that you spray on will get rid of it. It must be shampooed off. Make sure to tell them what the problem is and they'll shampoo the car interior.

I bought a used truck that had been smoked in so I rented a carpet shampooer. It worked great. When you do this don't forget the ceiling.
