my daughter and i are desperate to find the artist and title of a country song from the 1980's. help, please?

"sittin in a restaurant...she walks by. i seem to recall that certain look in your eye. ask who she is ...you say "nobody"........your nobody called today...she hung up when i asked her name....." my daughter and her cousin sang this song over and over when they were young, but none of us can actually figure out the title or artist now. have researched a couple web sites searching for title. no luck. if anyone knows, please let us know......it's driving us crazy!!!!!!!

The song is called NOBODY. I think it is by juice newton or crystal gayle. If you go to yahoo music you can look up the title Nobody, but right now there are over 1000 songs with that title. From the drop down list , choose song and then type in nobody. If i find it i will repost an answer for u.

The title is "Nobody", and was by a minor country artist, Sylvia in 1982 . The only other real hits I recall she had were called "The Matador" and "Snapshot". I guess she's still around singing, as there's a Yahoo group devoted to her.
