I think it's great! As long as they don't have the same first names I think it's fine!

you want to give your daughter the middle name Brooklyn right? That's the way I see your question but it seems some people think you want to name her Brooklyn Brooke
I think giving your daughter that middle name is fine. Brooklyn is a gorgeous name. I don't see why anyone would be upset over that because you are not stealing a name or anything but to make you feel better just talk to your sister before you ahev your daughter. Don't ask permission to use it just say "Hey My daighter's middle name will be Brooklyn what do you think?"
Good Luck & Congratulations!

It could get confusing, especially for the grandparents, i.e., your parents. What if your niece should want to be called Brooke when she is older and yet, that's your daughter's first name? Imagine this scenario: Your proud parents pull out photos from their wallets to show off their grandaughters to their friends, and they have to say, "Well, this is Brooke and...this is the other Brooke". I think that will cause some raised eyebrows, don't 'ya agree? There are so many beautiful other names to choose from that I would try to think of a different name. What about Erin Elizabeth?

Does your sister mind? If you have a good relationship and she doesn't care, go for it. If she will be angry about it, you might want to consider whether creating a family problem is worth it. "Brooklyn Brooke" will sound a bit silly, but Brooklyn as a first name would be very nice, and it wouldn't make any difference what her cousin's middle name is; as they get older they will probably think it's pretty cool.

Should be fine, some people even give all their own kids the same middle names. I once dated a guy and all his 3 sister's middle names where Marie.

Yeah, of course! If her middle name is Brooke, then that's fine. She's not even called Brooke and Brooklyn is a totally different name. Besides, Brooklyn is one of my favorite names, so go for it! :o)

Yes! I never understood why people feel there is a "rule" about using the same name as a close friend or family member. Those kid's are both gonna live their own lives and probably give very little thought about the fact that they have the same (or similar) name as their cousin. There will be some family get togethers when someone's trying to get your daughter's attention, and your niece answers... so?

Yea why not. I think it would be better as first name than a middle name becsaue then it seems too much alike. They would both have different first names so its all good. I really think the name Brooklyn is cute for a girl. I think good middle names would be:
Eva
Jersey
Grace
Anne
Ella
Taylor
Riley
Faith
Paige
Erin
Amelia
I hope you like them.
Congratulations and best of luck to you!

I don't see a problem with it especially with your sister using a similar name only as a middle name.

The name you give your daughter is up to you. You should use Brooke if that is what you want to do. They aren't the same names.
