Ghost Writer by John Harwood would have to be the best one I've read lately. It has a Victorian creepiness to it and is well-written. There were a couple of chapters that really spooked me! The Historian, by Elizabeth Kostova is also a good read.

The Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris--southern Vampires, werewolves, and a main character who's a psychic. They're really great!
