What do you mean by "not eating much"? You need at least 1200 calories a day, and probably more to keep your body fueled and running well. At that level you should still be able to lose weight, but not in an unhealthy manner.
When you greatly restrict your eating, your body's metabolism slows down to conserve energy/calories. The less you eat, the slower it goes because it thinks you are starving it. The health issues of eating too few calories can be quite serious, and include the possibility of death.
Eat right, get a good amount of healthy calories a day, drink lots of water, and exercise (esp cardio) 3 to 5 days a week IF you need to lose weight. If you are at the recommended weight for your height, then just eat healthy and exercise for fitness. Situps are good exercises for your tummy, but aren't great for overall calorie burning (weightloss).
Yes, low calorie intake and/or excessive exercise can cause a woman to miss her period. If you are missing your period due to either of these factors, talk to your parent or doctor. They need to ensure your lifestyle is healthy enough that even though your periods are skipping or have stopped, that your health isn't in danger.

KK, i know i'm a guy but...
not eating...and exercising??
not a good idea. You should eat small portions of food, approximately every two hours. This will keep your metabolism going, while not starving your body. Not starving will allow the exercise to actually do something, and will actually safely lose weight at a faster rate, initially. Make sure that little various portions you ear during the day contain, and eventually equal, all the requirements your body has for the day from the food groups.
example – bowl of whole grain cereal with blueberries tossed in the second you wake up.
2-3 hours later eat some tuna and a fruit. Make little >healthy< snacks into mini meals and eat them throughout the day. When you feel hungry, be sure to eat something. Just a little to keep you going. THIS WORKS! Try it, and gl

If you don't eat you will lose weight and then your body will start to store all the food you do eat...so it's not a good idea. If you really want to lose weight you should try eating small meals a few times a day, cut out processed carbs and salt, drink lots of water and be healthy. Try eating 2-3 ounces of protein at each meal, lots of veggies (steamed or raw with no salt...but you can use any other seasoning) and eat 1/2 a cup of carbs (like brown rice) with your meal about an hour before you work out, it will give you energy to help you burn calories. Eat every 3 or 4 hours, you won't get hungry and I swear the extra weight will melt off without you having to starve!

You may lose weight but this way is terrible for your body. Losing weight this way makes it impossible to keep off. Once you do eat normally you will gain back the weight at a faster rate because you have been starving yourself and you your body will go into survival mode because it thinks that you are going to deprive it again. My suggestion is to exercise and eat healthy not less than 1500 calories a day. You need to exercise. 1lb is equal to 3500 calories. This means for every 3500 calories you burn you will lose 1 lb. Please do not starve yourself. You have to think about things in the long run. Is losing weight faster worth the harm you will do to your body that could cause long lasting damage?? Good Luck

Exercising is supposed to decrease the symptoms of a period-
However not eating can seriously mess up your body and change your cycle. My sister did this until it was determined that she has an eating disorder but she has had to seek treatment for her periods since. She was getting dizzy and light headed from the blood loss. Please start eating right and take plenty of iron this seemed to help her.
