According to the "Liberal" Washington Post, it will give the dates, time and a base to regroup.

"In short, the Democratic proposal to be taken up this week is an attempt to impose detailed management on a war without regard for the war itself. Will Iraq collapse into unrestrained civil conflict with "massive civilian casualties," as the U.S. intelligence community predicts in the event of a rapid withdrawal? Will al-Qaeda establish a powerful new base for launching attacks on the United States and its allies? Will there be a regional war that sucks in Iraqi neighbors such as Saudi Arabia or Turkey? The House legislation is indifferent: Whether or not any of those events happened, U.S. forces would be gone."

The agenda of a terrorist group bent on destroying America isn't beneficial to either political party. It doesn't benefit the Democrats because federal spending on homeland security and national defense will increase, and that takes away from spending on social programs traditionally favored by many Democrats. It doesn't favor the Republican party either, because many Republicans traditionally advocate smaller government, tax cuts and spending cuts -- fighting Al Queda isn't cheap and prevents the aforementioned objectives.

Because liberal Democrats actually think that terrorists have Western values and think like Americans do. I've seen that mentality here on yahoo. Al -Qaeda love this because the liberals actually believe them. The entire terrorist network thrives on misinformation. I think only a fool would negotiate with terrorists. Jimmy Carter, who has drifted far left of center was the first president to declare that we will not negotiate with terrorists. They simply don't think like we do and to believe that is the height of stupidity.

it's not.

in fact a recent seymour hersch article the new yorker detailed how the bush administration has started sending money to SUNNI groups in iraq and the middle east.

it was also detailed how terror organizations were getting some of this money.

al quaeda is a sunni group.

bin laden is a sunni group.

the bush administration funds sunni groups.

but thanks for the brainless talking point - let me know how that foot of yours tastes...
