Walk away for a minute, come back to check on it, only to find you have turned on the wrong burner?

I've done that and come back all puzzled like "why isn't this cooking. I sure am hungry!" For some reason this only happens when I make mac n cheese.

I always use the same burner, but if some reason I dont use it, yeah I do that...makes you mad, expecting to find it almost done, and got the other burner blaring red at ya

Yep and even worse when you have covers over your burners

No not really but I can take that better than falling asleep when something is cooking and burning that and the pot

I usually put something on to cook, forget about it and come back to find it burnt.

i prefer that... i sooo hate it when i turn on the burner and come back and the pot is boiling over... ugh...
