What cocoa butter does or any other cream or lotion 'noted' for this purpose is to keep the skin on the stomach and abdomen soft and supple, thereby decreasing the stretching marks that may occur as the abdomen enlargens

Do some research online. Here's an page that talks about how pregnant women can help prevent stretch marks http://www.tummywear.org/stretch-marks-and-pregnancy.php Perhaps you'll find some useful information there.

Yes, Palmer's Cocoa Butter works.
I put baby oil in my morning bath water then after i dried off I would use Palmer's. I also did this at night before I went to bed. And I would use the Palmer's if I started to itch during the day.
I gave birth to a 7lb 6oz boy and I have no stretch marks.

They can help prevent it if you already have them they aren't going anywhere...I have heard to buy vitamin e capsules and break them open and putting them on the stretch marks and Palmers coacoa butter is really good and they have a special lotion for stretch marks!

It didn't work for me when I was pregnant and my OB/GYN said, "I'll be honest with you, don't waist money on creams, they don't work."

My co-worker was using coco butter too (she is 8 months pregnant) and she said she has stretch marks too.

i'd recommend almond oil better, has a bigger concentration on vitamin e, although cocoa butter is pretty effective, coco has a lot of antioxidants, but not as much as cocoa and almonds
