A cover letter is a letter that is read before the resume. Your have to outline why you're interested in that particular firm and how hiring you will be a good choice they make.
Limit the covering letter to 3 paragraphs. Don't go on and on about your achievements and goals - it could act negatively against you if the person who reads it thinks you're desperate for the job

There is nothing like 'cove' letter. It should be covering letter or cover letter. When you apply for a job, you give a resume and certified copies of your educational qualifications etc.
In the cover letter you briefly mention about why you are applying for the post mentioned therein and details of the enclosures, so that the person who receive the application will be in a position to send your application to the concerned department without going through all the details.

A cover letter is a letter telling the prospective employer why you are a good candidate for the position. Before I go job hunting, I would say take an English class. You obviously will be eliminated from reading the question. It is cover letter with an "r" and out has a "u" in it. Employers are cranky if someone doesn't speak English.

It is actually called a "cover letter". It's a letter of introduction that tells why you are interested in the firm and briefly explains your qualifications. This is usually the front page of your resume. Judging from your use of the English language, I would have someone else write it for me.
