No one can't think. There may be KINDS of thinking you don't like to do, like mathematics, or problem solving (word puzzles, engineering, fashion design, whatever). You might be adverse to kinesthetic thinking -- can't handle square dancing, line dancing, tai chi, sports. You might have grown up with only 8 colors in your box of crayons (like me) instead of 256 (like my wife) and have no artistic sense whatsoever.

But if you can find your way to the bathroom at night, you can and do think. If your type of thinking isn't intellectual, so what? As Lao Tsu put it, "the way to do is to be," and the goal of most meditation is to be aware without filling the mind with verbal (talking to yourself) noise.

On the other hand, perhaps you mean you do normally think but right now are blocked, too many thoughts and unable to sort through them. Then seek tranquillity. Go for nature walks. Walk the dog. Take naps. Listen to music. Take the pressure off and let your mind naturally sort itself out. Go fishing. Solutions to problems have a way of bubbling up from the unconscious mind when the pressure is off the everyday verbal mind.

If you can't take the pressure off? Then your life is seriously messed up (my stepdaughter, for one), and you just hang on and hope you survive. I once asked a teacher, what do you do on the road of life when you trip and find yourself face down in the road. He grinned and said, "you lie there until you get up."

I am tempted to say that if you are completely devoid of the ability to think you might consider becoming an operative in the republican party. But I won't say that.

If you can't think you are unable to make decisions that are in your own best interest. If you can't think, you become a victim....sooooo.. I guess I'm back to the conclusion I reached in paragraph one, above.

I will live even if I don't think . Actually thoughts don't decide our life . We can do good things even without thinking . Don't you get help from animals who don't think . It is only our actions that decide our life - good or bad .

how do you mean? we can't not think. we are always thinking. at least in same way. our brain is always on. even when sleeping. it is always on.

if you mean more like writer's block or too many issues are complicating your thoughts....sometimes it helps to disconnect for a little by listening to music or reading or something kinda light in general...

Must have something to physically do if there are no meaningful thoughts coming up.... otherwise the mind will become the playground for the Devil.

Have a sandwich and a cup of tea. In most cases your thoughts do make a re-appearance.
