If so, did it help? Or did it irritate or dry out your skin or anything? I need something that will help prevent a shiny T-zone during the day ...

I use on daily. I have for years and to me, they are essential. A good one will not only combat shine, but it also helps your makeup stay put. I like Smashbox Photofinish Primer, but it is really for just under your makeup. To touch up during the day, Clinique makes a wonderful anti-shine T-zone mattifying gel. It is really thin, but goes on wonderfully and erases the shine without adding anything to your skin.

Smash box make the best one I have ever used it is called ":photo finish" I use it on my clients that are getting married or taking pictures. You can use it every day if you want to. You apply it before you put your make up on. (a little goes a long way)

I live in Texas and we have a lot of humidity so I am always trying to find something that will stop my shine. It also last all day long. The only draw back or negative thing about it is it can clog your pores up. So you have to wash your face EVERY night! But that is true for any make up you wear.

I've used Smashbox Photo Finish and Dr. Brandt Pores No More. Photo Finish didn't stop the shine for very long and made me break out, especially where my bangs touch my forehead. Pores No More got rid of the shine all day but also made me break out. I recommend using translucent powder and blotting papers.
