The day before I went into labour I was very tired, and I had a stomach upset. No diarrhoea, but I couldn't keep any food down. I had crampy pains but nothing bad. The day I went into labour I felt exactly the same but just like I had bachache and stomachache and all over ache! I was 41 weeks pregnant. I was still asleep in my bed at past midday because I felt so rubbishy. Noone else was home, I woke up to a massive contraction, went to the toilet, my water broke, and less than two hours later my daughter was born on her bedroom floor weighing 7lb 4.5oz. Her father just made it back and the midwife arrived about 20 minutes before she did. I went through the whole pregnancy and birth without a vaginal exam or any painkillers. I pushed for less than nine minutes, yelled only once and did not tear at all. Half an hour after she was born I was sat on my sofa eating KFC.

She is my first baby and perfect.

Congratulations on your new baby to be! It sounds like you'll be getting there soon, but don't count on it too much. I thought I might go early as my Mum did with both of hers but I went to 41 weeks!

Good luck with the birth! I hope this helps you a little.

Here's my experience:

On a Friday I passed my mucus plug. I had a doctor's appt. that day and she said I definitely passed it. Once I got home, I started leaking. Then on Saturday, all day I was leaking. I took a nap and woke up and there was a small wet spot underneath me. So me and my husband went to the hospital. The doctor said it wasn't amniotic fluid...but I knew it was. They sent me home. Then on Sunday I was still leaking so we went back to hospital and I was right! Duh! I know my body! I remember when the doctor told me and my husband that they were admitting me. The doctor had left the room and my husband and I just looked at each other...as if to say "This is it!!". It was very exciting. Anyways, I was in labor for 12 hours naturally with no drugs. They had me on a Pitocin drip..and I think they were giving me too much because my uterus was stuck in a contraction for 30 mins. Worst pain of my LIIIIIIIFE!!! Then I got the epidural. It didn't hurt when it was being administered...so that was good. Then a couple hours later the doctor realized that the reason why I wasn't dilating was because my water wasn't completely broken. My son had kicked a hole in the sac and that's why I was leaking. After the doctor fully broke my water...I got up to 6 cm dilated...but it was too late. I was in labor for 24 hours and I was leaking fluid since Friday. So they didn't want to risk infection so they gave me a C-Section. It was extremely scary...but I am happy I had a C-Section over natural childbirth. I am pregnant again and I'm not anxious at all about having the C-Section. The only reason why my labor was so painful at first was because they gave me too much Pitocin... my doctor's were morons. Your's probably won't be dumb like mine were. But that was my experience! I hope it helped!

Oh yeah! The week before I gave birth, we were driving back from NY to DE (where we live)...my mom who lives in NY had thrown me a shower and I remember having to pull over because I was having contractions. It was Braxton Hick's... but my son came a week later!

Please call your OBGYN and or go get checked at the E.R.

It may only be braxton Hicks contractions, BUT, with the other symptoms I would be REALLY concerned. Better safe than sorry and for your and your baby's sake, PLEASE get checked.

Labor is nothing to sneeze at, and it does not matter weather you have a high pain tolerance, giving birth hurts like all hell. But, I might ad that once it is over and your holding that bundle of love and joy, the memories of the pain fade rather quickly.

nicely, im the father that in basic terms went with the aid of it with the mummy. WOW, is approximately all i'm able to assert.... We had our toddler final weekend, a month early. i'm able to inform you some issues that have been touching directly to to us. one million) Epidural in basic terms labored on uterus and not decrease backside and vaginal area. extremely undesirable.... 2) examined valuable for Strep B, this meant on the spot medicine for this reason prolonging the exertions so the medicine ought to actual take effect. This extremely sucked because of the fact as quickly as the toddler replaced into born they had to offer him much extra photos... 3) transport room: make certain nurses and dr.s close the door as quickly as they enter your room. additionally make certain any kinfolk continues to be nicely faraway from the door. (they tend to huddle close to the door and can create a street block for the docs and nurses to get into the room) So make it sparkling to anybody to no longer dismiss your desires....it extremely is frequently very uncomfortable whilst your in astounding soreness and don't choose the full wellbeing facility to take heed to you bearing down.... stable good fortune on the transport, confirm to %. nicely in improve.....

You need to call your doctor. You and your baby can become dehydrated with the loose bowel movements. And your face is swollen. Get on the phone with your doctor immediately don't wait any longer.
