I can't answer the nausea question as I am not familiar w/ that side effect.

However, I want to warn you that Clomid blocks estrogen. Estrogen is what makes your cervix produce the fertile cervical fluid that nourishes sperm and keeps them alive until an egg is released. W/o fertile CF, sperm can only live for 30min-4hrs in the woman's body. W/ fertile CF, sperm can live up to 5 days. Clomid can severely dry CF which could prevent conception even if it successfully triggers ovulation.

If you notice Clomid reducing your CF, you can boost it yourself. Some women use plain robitussin (or the generic, but it MUST be PLAIN...the kind w/ decongestant or antihystamine can further dry CF).

Make sure you drink pleanty of water! Your body needs to be well hydrated for you to produce good CF no matter which other booster you use.

You can also try drinking brewed green tea daily (though make sure you take your b-vits, such as folic acid, and iron at least an hour after the tea b/c green tea may interfere w/ absorbtion of those vits).

Some women have also had success drinking grapfruit juice, using actual raw egg white in place of CF, or a product called Preseed.

I also recently read that increasing your vit A intake preovulation can really increase the quality and quantity of your CF. You might try eating a couple of raw carrots a day, having a spinach salad daily, or taking a supplement w/ extra beta-carotine. Be careful of regular Vit A supplements b/c overdoses of Vit A but NOT beta-carotine, which is converted to Vit A by the body, may be linked to increased birth defects.

Check out Ovusoft.com. THey have many discussion boards w/ lots of info on these things. They have an Everything Herbal board which might be a good place to start if you want more info on any of the above.

You should always double check with your doctor when you are unsure about your prescription. I always took it on days 3-7 of my cycle. I took it at night because pills tend to make me nauseated anyway. I would wait about an hour after dinner when I still had something in my stomach, but I was no longer full. It seemed to work for me. I would just take it about the same time every day. If it's easier for you to remember in the afternoon, try eating a light snack or some crackers before you take it. Thankfully, you only have to take it for 5 days. Good luck.

You should take it as the doc prescribed it. Some take it on CD 3-7, some on CD 5-9. I am on the 5-9 cycle, and on CD 7 now. I take them in the morning when I get up. I then eat breakfast, and I do not feel sick. Try taking it with milk, or eating a little snack with it. You sound like you are taking correctly. Good luck TTC hun!

well some people start on the 3rd day and others start on the 5th day. That is where i fall. I take mine CD5-9 and I never felt sick. you might wanna talk to your doctor. Each person is different. Taking it at the same time every day is a good thing to do.

I took my for the first time at the beginning of the month. They told me to take it with food to eliminate the sick feeling. On top of that, I'm one of those people that can't swallow pills, so I had to chew it. I made sure I definetly had food and not just snacks. If you don't take it at the exact time each day, they told me that's fine, due to myself having a hectic schedule. Good Luck!
