In June 2005, Mara finished up at Burbank High School and has since gone on to attend New York University where she is studying drama so perhaps the big screen has not seen the last of her!

Mara Wilson. I heard or read that Mara graduated from high school in California and is now studying theatre at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York, and has had some roles on stage. Her last movie role was as Lily Burnetts in "Thomas and the Magic Railroad" in 2000.

Just last year she was in a play. She's not very pretty so I guess thats the reason why she stopped with the movies.

I just looked it up and she's still alive.
The girl who starred in Poltergeist died a long time ago though. Maybe someone confused them?
