Well, this question depends. I'm sure almost everyone has done it before, especially your parents around the hippie 70s. If you look at the history of weed in the US (there's actually a DVD documentary probably by the same name), it was legal at one time. Then, for many reasons, weed became targeted by the government. It was seen as the gateway drug (if you do weed, one day you'll do crack, etc). There were non-sense anti-drug ads that claimed weed makes people crazy and have unprotected sex. Non of which was substantiated by evidence. Even today there's much debate on the effects of weed. Some claim there's medical benefits, some claims there are long term negative affects while others refute this. There are people who are lobbying for weed to be legalized, and some states have considered legalizing for medical usages. Make no mistake, the US Federal government still considers weed illegal, and even if you are using weed for medical purposes in a 'legalized' state, you can still face Federal consequences. Weed is tolerated in small quantities in Amsterdam.

Now, you're wondering why I just mentioned weed and laws. Since you're asking if weed smoking is a sin, I'm assuming you're asking from the Christian perspective. Jesus makes it clear to obey the laws of the land (forget the exact verse). With one exception, where the laws of God (10 commandments, Jesus golden rule, etc) and laws of man contradict you should probably obey God's law. You're probably thinking this law against weed is bulldropping, and that may be true. But is there a contradiction between this law and God's law? If there is no contradiction, then you are not obeying the law of the land. Not obeying means you're not listening to Jesus, and not listening to God and going against Him usually means you're sinning.

The verb is "sinning", not sining.

I don't think it's a sin the way murder and theft and adultry is a sin, but you are still harming the body God gave you, so I think it would qualify as some sort of sin.
It's just like taking a small amount of medicine is good for your body, but taking a whole bottle full of medicine can kill your or make you really sick, and that's harmful to your body. God wants to you to live and be happy and help others, and smoking weed makes that difficult.

That's one way to look at it, but you should decide for yourself.

that is like saying I help 100 elderly ladies across the street every day, and i shoot one child a day am I good person?

weed is against the law-not only are you supporting crime and all the crimes committed to get it from the criminals you can go to jail for it too-your addicted in mind and Jesus can set you free as he has done for many of us. I was bad once too living in sin and justifying it-then I repented and let Jesus into my heart to forgive me and be my friend=John 3 repented and born again.

Yes, according to the bible, your body is a temple to the Lord, and anything we do to abuse the body (smoking, no matter what we are smoking) is a sin

It is certainly not a sin, but it is the best and sure way to self distruction.Because it will have a future negative effect on your personality.
