Say you retired at 65 and live until about 85 and were still in reasonable good health for those years, what would be your ideal way to spend those twenty years?
Mine would be to go on loads of holidays and get into loads of things like gardening, chess, drinking fine wine, reading, and maybe even golf or tennis - stuff I never had time to do when I was working.
I would also buy a dog and go for long walks to keep fit.
And I would go for a pint every day down my local country pub.

I'm going to pretend I'm senile long before I actually am.
I will dance around to rap music and strip naked in public just to embarrass the people I'm with.
I'll make my grandchildren chase imaginary chickens that nobody but me can see.
I'll constantly fill people in on my "top secret missions" to do such things as get a glass of juice or cook an egg. If they say anything out loud about it I'll become infuriated and yell at them for leaking the information.
I will draw all of my money out of the bank and bury it in a coffee can in the yard.
I'll drive like a maniac and whenever I get pulled over offer up the excuse "I'm Old."
When I die, my will is only going to contain the words "You've been Punk'd."

I spend part of my day on answers and some on sploofus.com. I garden and visit my father (he's really old) I go for walks and go fishing. My guy and I sit out on the deck with a cooler full of cold beer and listen to oldies and occassionally we go bar hopping. Or just out with the top down on the camero. I'm retired! LOL

I like your retirement plan. Very similar to mine. I'd go on loads of trips and play tourist for a while. Take lots of pictures and maybe try to write a book. Or take up painting.

I would buy a house overlooking the sea...
And spend my days being artistic..
Painting.. sculting.. drawing... etc
Looking outside my window at the sea with my 10 cats! lol

I am . At 33 yeaHHHHHHHH. I walk my dogs, paint and I write songs. I do things for the schools by my house. It's great.

im going to have 90 cats in my house and pickle the toe that gets amputated from me in an old coffee jar and leave it on display on the mantlepiece and im going to roll up poo into balls and fill up a malteaser box with them and offer them to district nurses.fun fun fun

i would make all the kids in the neighbourhood hate me until they say that i am a witch and i am possessed by the deval and instead of giving them sweets on halloween, i would give them apples.
i personally think that sounds thrilling enough

your retirement sounds bliss and i hope it happens for you, i would like to travel lots with my hubbie to be, and again like yourself drink fine wines long walks, swimming and hopefully still have a good sex life!

take up fishing again.start plaing football .and run a few marathons. i,ll let you know how i get on in four years time when i retire
