Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch is very much like the Sailor Moon series. Very girlish, very kid rated, and all magical girlish.
Survive! - Uninhabited Planet is very kid friendly too. It is very much like the TV show LOST only in anime form and for kids.
Kodomo No Omocha is pretty kid friendly. Here and there a few words are used that are iffy, but nothing horrible. It is more on the dramatic/comedy serious side of anime. No magical girls or anything.

jqdsilva is Wrong; Sailor Moon is NOT a girly anime made for just little ones. I just wanted to let you know that so, that you would not die from shock when you see Sailor Stars(the 5th and final season. I'll give you a couple of examples: Zoisite is really a man; Fisheye is a guy too; Alan and Ann are brother and sister; yet they seem to be dating each other(can we say incest?).
Here's a really girly one: Marmalade Boy.
Super Gals!(it has some language, but don't worry about it; the dialogue contains very little swearing.)

I highly recommend Princess Tutu. Its girly, but not so young it is insulting. Heck, My husband loves it.

His and Her Circumstances is a really good one and one of my favorites. Fushigi Yugi is a good one too.
