Personally, I think people get tired of the same "thing" over and over. Also, the excitement of starting a relationship other than that of your significant other. ITs like being a teenager again!

I don't know, honestly.
I don't miss the "excitement" of starting a new relationship. I enjoy every minute with my husband- even the moments that we hate each other. I wouldn't want to be a teenager again if I had the chance.
I think people have affairs because they're selfish and immature and shouldn't have got married to begin with.

Because they would rather run from their problems i.e. into the arms of another man or woman, to keep from facing the problems with their spouse head on. It is actually quite sad that people don't have the maturity or self-control to treat others the way they would want themselves or their children treated. No man wants his daughter to be mistreated and women feel the same about their sons. Yet they allow hypocrisy to take control, and satisfy their own selfish desires.

Boredom, after a while a person becomes predictable and you get sick of them. I think marry couples need time apart sometimes (not to have a affair) so that they have experiences and a life outside of the marriage.

I disagree. Ive been with my hubby for 21 yrs and still loving the life we share. I have alot of security in my marriage and that makes me feel good. I think everyone is different. Some like marriage, some dont. I think the ppl that have affairs, simply arnt happy in their marriage.*

I did because of the reality of divorce, and knowing I was going to have to be back out there. I was still married but it was over for all intensive purposes. There were papers filed, and the only thing holding us back was the custody issues.
After hellacious fighting like that from someone who promised their whole life to you before God, it's time to seek comfort.

I think it's because they want someone to make them feel special again. You know, compliments, actually listening to them when they talk. Simple things like that are such a turn-on and a lot of people stop doing that for their partner.
I think if married people continued to do this there would be a lot less divorces.

the only reason is because,sometimes the man or woman whats something and the good and they can't give it 2 each cause the other one may not want 2 do it.so they say why not have an affair.so a good the make each other happy.thats what i do.even if i'm not up 2 it

People lie and cheat for a myriad of reasons, from boredom to esteem issues but one thing is for certain they all claim to have their reasons but they're just lame a s s excuses to justify their actions... Seldom if ever do they change and they can never be trusted...

I think alot of times people get married too young. Sometimes stress, money, bills whatever gets the best of you and you think things will be better some where else.

Because they are tired with their spouse they want more excitement in their life whether it be sexual or maybe just their day to day life. It doesn't mean they don't still love their spouse but it could mean their not in love with them. Maybe a spouse sees something in the person their cheating with that they want to see in their spouse.
