if you told your ex that you were in love with at one time but you messed up and broke up with him and 3 years later you meet up again and you told him you regret breaking up and he says well that makes 2 of us what does this mean could he still be in love with me and can we work this out? help plz

yeah that means he feels the same way you do. and as for whether or not it will work out it depends. there is a reason why you broke up in the first place because it didn't work out. and people don't really change. so if you want it to work out, you have to work extra hard to make sure you don't have those problems again. and you have to take the risk that it will happen again. but if you are willing, go ahead. it sounds like you both want to give it a try.

WOW you may be in luck. It sounds like you 2 may have a chance. Talk again and take things slowly as 3 years is a long time and he may not be the same as when you fell in love and you dont want to hurt him again. Good luck
