Doesn't it bother you that this company, who's ex-CEO is our vice-president, who has been accused of ripping off the American taxpayer like never before in history, and who was given 100s of billions of dollars in no bid contracts in violation of federal law, now is picking up and moving to Dubai just when Congress threatens to start investigating their role in Iraq?

C'mon, even a neocon should be able smell the stench of Haliburton and Dick Cheney. Are you so blind that you cannot see how you've been played?

Meathead - you haven't been listening

Espreses - so haliburton crimes are ok with you

Cappi - your anger is directed at the wrong person

Pretty much the responses I figured I would get. The neocons defending the indefensible once again and trying to shift blame to someone else. Par.

How does Halliburton's move of their Corporate headquarters to Dubai prove anything other than they want to be where there is tons of money and massive civil projects underway all the time. This is a country that built an island shaped like a Palm Tree out in the ocean just because they could afford to.

And how can you say that the contracts they were awarded were in violation of Federal Law. I guarantee you if any laws were broken that could hurt the President or VP there would be yelling and screaming and Congressional hearings until we all are old and gray. Yet I haven't heard a single word about such things. Maybe because no laws were broken???

Does asking such a stupid question make you an idiot? If you are looking for truth, I would advise you to look elsewhere than in this forum. Apologies to Yahoo but you guys can't be totally responsible for who posts here, not even the questioner or myself.

And oh, I am very grateful to you for pointing out all the obvious evil of Haliburton and/orCheney. I mean we all being so incapable of indipendent thought and having no capacity for reason or logic, it was so kind of you to save us from all the mental anguish cause through the process of thinking for ourselves.

I am very confident in the fact that your assessment of this occurance is completely open minded and fair that I am going to do just what you have done. Form an opinion based upon what someone else says and then fill myself with hate to the point that I think everyone else is stupid if they don't agree with me.

There now. We are all little puppets now and don't have to bother to consider that there are MANY sides to any situation that could be considered. But we don't have to do that since we have our special little glasses that filter out all that nasty stuff we aren't comfortable seeing.

Ahhh, it is very true I see now. Ignorance truly IS bliss.

Nice historical rewrite. There have been no violations of federal law in the awarding of no-bid contracts to Hailurton. You don't suggest Clinton violated the law when he did this are you? I don't know what Cheney has to do with this as he was made to divest himself of Haliburtion assets before taking office. It makes perfect sense that Haliburton would move it's headquarters off shore considering the hostile position the US government has taken regarding gas and oil production in the US and the politically motivated witch hunts the democrates in gage in regarding the conduct of the company. The paltry amount of money (100's of billions of dollars) Haliburton has received pales in comparison to the trillions of dollars the taxpayer has been swindled out of by liberal democrates to fund failed social programs. Cannot you see how you have been played?

Nope, but your question suggests that you do not know what a non sequitur is.
