I am writing to express my interest in your firm's current position opening advertised in the Potswiggle Gazette for an Aardvark Inspector "(insert your "dream job" title here) My resume is attached for your reference.

I am aware of Acme Aardvark Incorporated's excellent reputation and your expansion in the service sector. I studied anteater biology at University and have been working in the area of small mammal inspections for 3 years for the Potswiggle City Zoo. I believe that my education and experience are very well tailored to the needs of your company and Acme would be my first choice to continue my career in this field.

I can provide you with personal and professional references upon request. Please contact me at the phone number below if you require further information or to arrange an interview at your convenience.

I look forward to speaking with you about this opportunity,

With best regards,

More advice: Keep the letter to about half a typed page, no more. Try to find something out about the company (Google works well for that.) Did they just get an award or a new contract? Mention that you know about it and congratulate them for it. Stress how much you admire the company and how much value you can bring to them (use exact examples of what your talents are.) MAKE SURE ALL YOUR GRAMMAR AND SPELLING ARE PERFECT in both the letter and attached resume.

If they have not advertised your "dream job" position, just modify the first paragraph to describe what your career objectives are and then go on to tell them that they are your first choice and lay out what your talents are that would benefit them.

I've gotten most of my job offers from sending great cover letters including being offered my dream job as a construction manager when I was the only female applicant up against more than 40 guys. (I was the only applicant who complimented the company on a big $4 million contract they had just been awarded.)

Also, this is very important: If you get an interview, IMMEDIATELY after the interview you should send a short letter to the person who interviewed you (be sure to get their business card at the interview) and thank them for their time. Also in that thank-you letter, tell them that you are even more convinced that this is the perfect job for you and that you will be a great employee for them. Tell them you really want the job!! It is amazing how few people do this. Writing a thank you letter more than doubles your chance of getting the job. It shows your enthusiasm and proves to your prospective employer that you would be likely to follow up well with their clients.

Go get that job!

expensive sir/madam, it rather is rude or rude while you're 'lazy' and take a wager of which gender they're. while you're undecided which they're, i think of try to be conscious on your application which you do no longer understand which one they're... additionally you have a reasonably extra clever probability at getting the interest in view which you're being well mannered, and of direction in any interest you like that high quality. Yours sincerly, musicbubb desire this helps...;)
