I saved this beta from the pet store last night (I couldn't help myself) but the tank that he is to go in has only been set up for about 18 hours. The thing is, the water that he is in now is disgusting. My water is properly conditioned and betas are pretty hardy fish.... and I have added some water from my other beta tanks. Do you think it would be okay to get him out of his nasty little bowl the store left him in?

Far better for him to be added to his new tank asap. Adding a little gravel from your other betta tanks or rinsing an old filter or two in the new tank while it's filter is running will help begin the cycle for the new tank and get it cycled very quickly.

The beta will be basically superb. the dimensions of your tank truly concerns a lot and that you dont ever upload without note a fish with flowing fins similiar to a betas. in spite of the undeniable fact that that's unfaithful that you may't have more beneficial than one beta in a tank. i myself had 3 in a unmarried 55 gallon. This took a lot of patience and time. The initial beta is going in by ability of himself for a minimum of a month then a 2d one is further in a beta viewer after about 2 months you'll locate they are going to quit flaring at one yet another. Then attempt the waters and note in the journey that they are oftentimes at the same time. Watch heavily the first couple hours and then wait a at the same time as earlier introducing anymore. so a procedures because the bacteria do no longer clean that until eventually there's a really sturdy reason. that's what's conserving your water from starting to be poisonous to the fish with their waste. If that's going to develop into crucial to bathe it oftentimes there is more beneficial than one source like 2 wheels so in undemanding words clean one at a time. there'll be different bacteria on your gravel in case you should wash both in spite of the undeniable fact that it might want to emphasize your fish.

Place him and his nasty water in a plastic Baggie / half water and half air. Then let the baggie and the fish float in the new tank for an hour or two. This lets the water in the bag equalize in temp. to the water in the new tank. Then just dump him and the dirty water into your new tank. Your filter will clean up any dirt from his water and he will be a happy little fish in his new world. As you said, they are hearty little guys, I find the temp is the big thing with fish, sudden changes will put them into shock

You should probably mix the water together a little like put some of the clean water in with his water and then wait an hour to get him use to it then put him in your tank.

i believe it should be safe enough for him to just use the baggie that he is in and place him in the tank bag and fish and the oxygen and water. Leave him there for a couple hours or so, so that the water temperature equalizes, then you can add the fish, but place him in carefully, do not pour!

Yes, since you have seeded the water from your other betta tanks I think it will be fine.
