Yes, I do...and Im ok with hugging someone I just met, if they seem like a good person. I just recently hugged someone that I had just met. It was a woman that had just gone thru breast cancer and she and her hubby drive a semi truck. They were very nice and she told us about everything she had been thru in the past yr. My hubby and I both gave her a hug and told her to continue to heal. Shes a survivor.*

I grew up in a family of huggers and kissers! I have gone up to a girl I have just me and give her a big hug. In all my years, I have never had anyone push me away or say something negative. If anything once the surprise wears off, most say I feel so much better thank you for that hug. I read someplace that in order to keep our emotional stability we need between 5 and 10 hugs daily. Yes. I love hugs. But one time I started to hug someone and she pulled away, so now I let the other person do the hugging!!

I don't hug my friends and I don't feel comfortable being hugged by others. It's just a personality thing, I'm really standoffish and I don't like to be touched. But that's just me.

Some friends that I really like, I'll hug, but most friends, not. I don't really like being touched by people & certainly not by a stranger.

hug friends, from time to time, like 5 times a year, and hug a stranger, I never do that, but if a stranger hugs me (happened), I take it ok, no everyone is as distant as I am.

Totally! I hug everyone! Life would be dull without hugs...they say 13 hugs a day will keep you healthy and I haven't got a cold yet this year! so it must be working!!!!
