1. Rent
2. Electric
3. Gas
4. Water
5. Sewage
6. Garbage
7. Phone
8. Renter's imsurance
9. Cable
10. Internet
These are just your basics. You also have to factor in groceries, gas money, car payment and car insurance if you have them, any student loans and credit card bills you may already have, security deposits, spending money for luxuries ie cloting and entertainment. Also think about the fact that sometimes unexpected instances occur where you may need tires for your car or whatnot so you want to have some "emergency money" tucked away as well....I think I've pretty much covered it all....

the following is what i pay monthly:

light bill - $300
water bill - $40
cable bill - $70
car insurance - $150
car note - $120
cell phone bill - $70
rent - $520

i've probably left something out. not sure if you have kids or not, but i pay $185 for daycare every week for my 2 daughters. also keep in mind that you'll most likely have to pay deposits for your bills like electricity and cable.
