He lead Germany, which took over half of Europe. He was the LEADER OF A COUNTRY, and an important Country at that time. The same as President Bush being considered a World Leader, like him or not he is the leader of a Country.

I am not the best person when it comes to history, but even as absurd as it sounds he had charisma, and if you don't believe me ask a sociologist. I had sociology in college so we talked about world leaders. Charisma is what leads people to like one person, and it seems like he had a lot of it, because he was elected president. But other than that I guess because he controlled most of Europe. Also the fact that he was a powerful man. He had control of a powerful army, and the way he led it was something that was impressive.

Well...because he ran one of the most powerful nations in the world. If that doesn't qualify his being called a 'world leader' , I don't know what does. There aren't any more specific details to give.
