His jowels were swollen. Over the last couple days the swelling has progressed to his neck and ear. I am currently giving him antibiotics 3 times a day. It seems to get worse. What could have caused this? Is there anything I can do for him?

Take your dog to the vet! Antibiotics are not a cure-all! Antibiotics should be used only in the case a bacterial infection. Other conditions might be causing the inflammation.

Only a vet can determine the cause and the medications to treat it.

What you are doing might be doing more harm than good!

Take him back or call the vet that gave you the antibiotics.
This is all part of the care.
And they do want to know how if the patient is not getting better.

Is it possible that he would have been bitten by a snake? Bee stung or in a fight with another animal? He could be having an allergic reaction or this could be an abcess of some sort.
