When I was 22 I could manage over 2 dozen cans, a night out would cost me £40 and these days I am an alcoholic. There are benefits to being a lightweight.

That all depends on how quickly your body metabolizes the poison ....
Alcohol is absorbed from the stomach and small intestine by diffusion. Most absorption occurs from the small intestine due to its large surface area and rich blood supply. The rate of absorption varies with the emptying time of the stomach. Generally, the higher the alcohol concentration of the beverage, the faster the rate of absorption. However, above a certain concentration, the rate of absorption may decrease due to the delayed passage of alcohol from the stomach into the small intestine.
The maximum absorption rate is obtained with the consumption of an alcoholic beverage containing approximately 20-25% (by volume or v/v) alcohol solution on an empty stomach. The absorption rate may be less when alcohol is consumed with food or when a 40% (v/v) alcohol solution is consumed on an empty stomach. The rate may also slow down when high fluid volume/low alcohol content beverages, such as beer, are consumed.
Some people just can't tolerate alcohol at all...1 drink and they're out for the night... Others can drink you, me and the brother's 3 under the table. Just be careful and know your limits...

by some standards, you are a lightweight. Weird because I can drink someone under the table with hard alcohol, but I only need about 3 beers to get me stumbling.......

Alcohol consumption is mainly based on the size of the person and their tolerance of alcohol. My husband is only 5'5", 150 lbs, and he could drink up to 20 beers in one night. (That was back in the day)

God! A rite of passage? This is really pathetic.
How many pounds can you lift easily, without strain?
How many laps it the pool can you do without strain?
How many bushels of apples can you pick w/o strain?
etc. etc. etc.
PLEASE try to think of something that is becoming to a MAN and not just something for some poor pathetic creature!!!
