I don't think there is a jealousy. I think people in most cases like where they live or are from. People probably react more strongly to people from Texas, California, or New York since in a lot of cases people hear about those states more (due to population base there) and maybe react more strongly, especially in fly over country because they do prefer where they live. I have friends that live in Texas and it seems like that's what we have come up with over the years.

Because WE'RE the coolest, and the friendliest people. And we have the most diverse landscapes of any state in the union. And our constitution allows us more freedoms than any other state constitution -- such as our state flag can fly at the same height as the U.S. flag, our capitol building can be the same height as the U.S. capitol building, we reserve the right to succeed from the union if we want to, etc. And if you count land mass rather than ice mass, we're still the largest state. And we have Big Tex at OUR state fair.

well I am from arkansas and I have NO jelousy of texans. I do have a problem with the few texans that come to my state and throw their trash out the window onto our great scenic highways. You know who you are and so do i! I am not saying all texans do this but i have seen so many do it .

I've never visited Texas and don't really know much about it except that that's where JR Ewing and his family live.
