Shouldn't you be asking that to a professional?

I'd say it depends on how big the baby is as compared to how big it should be.
At my last 2 ultrasounds my baby was measuring a week bigger than it average babies for it's gestational age. My doctor said that it's nothing to worry about and that the baby is health and growing.
It could also mean your estimated due date was slighty off to begin with.
On the flip side if your baby is much bigger than it should be, it could be indicative of gestational diabetes. In which case, mothers often give birth to exceptionally large babies (9-10lbs+).
Talk to your doctor if you're really worried about it but I'm sure that if the baby's size was a problem they would have talked with you about it.

God no! My son was born 5 weeks early and measured 2 weeks ahead of his gestational age. Late term ultrasounds are not accurate, your dr should have told you this. First trimester ultrasounds are the most accurate. Not to be rude but I dont know why woman are so concerned if their babies are "bigger then normal" while they are in utero. Average size of a newborn in 2006 was between 7-8.5 pounds. And just like babies do unborn babies have growth spurts too

No. My son measured big too. He was 2 months bigger then he was supposed to be. It turns out they got my due date wrong...he was actually due a month earlier. Don't worry about it. If your OB thinks everything is fine, then you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

In my experience, if you don't know if you should worry, then don't. You have plenty to occupy your thoughts without worrying about things you can't control. Just monitor it, which I'm sure you are doing anyway, and talk to you doctor (everyday, if it makes you feel better). If there is a problem, your OB will tell you when to worry and what to do about it. Good luck!

No, you are just going to have a big baby. Might want to take a look at your diet and make sure you are eating healthy. A lot of times women have a bigger baby when they over eat.

No. You could just be having a big baby or be further along then you thought...but it is more likely that the baby is big. No need to worry.

The measurements are an educated guess. I wouldn't worry. They always estimate big.

It sounds like your due date is off. Just relax and don't stress it. Even if it is a little big women have big babies all the time.

It just means your due date is off. You are probably due earlier than expected. Good news, you'll have your baby sooner rather than later!! Good Luck!!!
