Can you go to Verizone and get only the phone (Chocolate) and bring it to Cingular and then can that be your phone

No, it will NOT work. Cingular uses GSM phones, which require a sim card to work. Verizon's phones are CDMA, which don't use sim cards. They are two completely different technologies and are not compatible with each other.

No, the phone is going to be activated for the Verizon network, not the Cingular network.

The reason is that cinqular and Verizon operate on different technologies. So even if the chocolate phone was unlocked it would not work on cinqular. If you want the chocolate go to Verizon!
