She is just a baby and hasn't been handled much. She is scared and unsure of you. There is an easy way to hand tame her so she won't bit.
Start off by talking to her, when ever your around the cage or going to handle her. By doing this she is able to identify you through your voice and it will calm her down a little.
Put a little rag with your scent on it in the cage with her. This allows her get use to your scent. When near her cage and your talking to her, put your hand in slowly and let her smell it for a little while. After she has smelled your hand for a time go ahead and pet her for a few minutes. In doing this she'll be able to associate your smell with being petted and thus allowing her to be able to identify you by sound, smell and touch.
When going to pick her up do the steps above first so that she knows it is you and there is nothing for her to fear. Then pick her up gently and slowly. Allowing her to get use to the feel of being picked up. When you are holding her, hold her with an old towel under her and draw it up around her sides. In doing this your giving her a secure place to sit, and thus calming her down greatly.
Keep that up for a while and soon she won't bit you. But keep in mind that she may nip at you once in awhile. Which is normal and doesn't really hurt you. It'll be just her way of telling you that she wants more attention from you.
Good Luck and I hope this helps.

First of all, the guinea pig doesn't know you well so, it can't trust you. When I had just bought my little bunny, I couldn't even hold it in my arms. It was scratching me all the time.
Secondly, don't overpush it to like you. It will take some time to get used to you.
Finally, the best way to make it feel comfortable is to rub it all the time. It will understand how much you love it. Do not forget that just because you love it from the first time, that doesn't mean that it will start loving you at once.
I hope I helped you,
Elias

he's possibly apprehensive once you enable him loose interior the condominium. I presume you will possibly be able to desire to bodily seize carry of him to place him lower back interior the cage? He might view you as an attacker. attempt leaving him in his cage for a week or 2. do no longer make plenty fuss of him each and every of the time it might desire to easily be too plenty interest is getting his under pressure. additionally he's possibly no longer used to being in massive areas and it is the reason he's making an attempt to cover. Guinea pigs are prey animals interior the wild and can be very careful of attack out interior the open with the intention to communicate so for this reason he's hiding and you choosing him up possibly frightens him too. possibly he only wasn't used to being dealt with plenty in the previous. provide him a week to get used to being interior the cage with out consistent interest. you could then steadily convey him out for a couple of minutes daily and function him take a seat on your lap with a carrot to nibble on yet do no longer placed him down on the floor. After 5 minutes placed him gently lower back. he will then see this as a stable adventure and seem forward to popping out of the cage.

Don't put her down when she bites you that just ensures her that its okay for her to bite you. Some guinea pigs dont like being held and it's their way of showing you that it's not comfortable for them being held or handled a certain way. You should check out www.caviesgalore.com they have a forum set up to help guinea pig owners new and old . Their very helpful and I myself go there frequently and research on past posts to help me if I have questions about my Guinea Pigs behavior or anything else that I may be concerned about.

You have two choices. Keep picking her up and stroking her, putting up with the bites until she gets used to being held and thus stops, Or stop picking her up, Thus avoiding being bitten.
Well, three choices. You could wear gloves. Oh, and I like the lemon Idea...

Squeeze lemon juice on your fingers. If she gets a bite of that, she will stop. Do it for about a week. I did it with my old hamster and he became very docile that way.

she is not used to you yet it will take a while for you to gain her trust. just try wearing gloves everytime you handle her so when she bites it wont hurt and try to handle her as much as you can so she will get used to being picked up and after you feel that you are comfortable enough with her not biting you anymore you can stop wearing the gloves. this helped me when i had two hamsters that kept biting me

Just go slowly with her. Sounds like she hasn't been handled much at all and will take a bit of time. Try not to stroke her over her head - she might think your hand is a bird of prey coming to catch her! Maybe you can get a bit of grass or a dandelion to treat her with, when she lets you stroke her ok.
