They Are Like Shaq And Kobe Used To Be.They Both Want To Be The Superstar Of The Team,But A Team Does Not Have A "Superstar".A Team Can Only Have Players,Not Someone who is the best.

Because A-Rod is a better shortstop than Jeter, but Jeter wouldn't move to let A-Rod play there when the Yankees got him. So A-Rod is stuck at third and mad at the Yankees and Jeter. And Jeter is mad at A-Rod for wanting to play SS.
It would be better for everyone if the Yankees had never signed A-Rod in the first place. But since they got him, he should have played SS, Jeter could play LF and they could have filled 3rd with someone else.

They do get along, they are still friends. They are no longer the best of buddies going out to dinner every night and sleeping over one another's homes. Don't forget, their lives have taken different paths. A-Rod is now a daddy...being a parent changes a lot of things in your life. Jeter is still footloose and fancy free w/o the family responsibilites that Arod has. I know my life changed once I had my daughter. I hardley see my single friends but still maintain a casual relationship with them. They still root for one another and they can be seen joking around and being friendly on the field and in the dugout.

Its because Jeter is so selfish. All Jeter has to do to make the Yankees into a world series favorite is to let the best SS on the team play SS.

A-rod is jealous that everyone loves Jeter and of Jeter's world series rings
Jeter is jealous of A-rod's abilities and the fact that he was a better shortstop than him

They do get along A-Rod wants nothing to do with Jeter, and he lets Himself down, if nothing turns around in '07 for the Yankees he's Gone.

Its about money and screentime.Besides you cannot have both Yankee Shortstops and A-Rod is a shortstop he needs to improve on his 3rd base skills maybe it's the quarter of a billion dollar paycheck that is giving him the burden to all New York Yankee fans!

Both are used to being the central figure on their teams, and neither one seems willing to step back for the good of the team.
