Sense of wonder is known to be one of the highest of all intellectual virtues of the mind. We can go farthest in all things when we wonder about them. In a state of wonder the form and the nature of all things start to appear different, and somewhat metaphysical. For example, this may not be a matter of something being big or small as it apears to be, as this is merely an illusion to the eyes, or the imitative reality of our eyes. With thoughts powered by sense of wonder and propelled by curiosity, I believe, we can see things very differently and most variedly.
When I was young, living in my native country, during the hot summer nights I used to sleep upon the flat roof of our house under an open night skies, all full of stars. There used to be a multitude of stars scattered so generously all over the heavens above, and this I regard, to this very day of my life, to be the richest gift that nature can bestow upon the mind of any little boy. I still wonder about stars and try to figure out how far they are from the earth. Even now when see a starry sky, I often realise that there is nothing between me and the stars despite the fact that there are entirely other worlds, millions of light years away. I can see sometimes feel them like any other object around me within the reaches of my own world down here.
I often wonder if distances between things are just a thing, and not a thing impossibly huge as it is in our scientifically educated minds. Could this be that distances between countless worlds in the universe are something like distances between people however living close in the same world, and possibly in the same house, distances of differences, indifference and ignorance. I know how difficult it is to bring hearts and minds of estranged people together back in a state of amicability and unison. This to me sometimes seems as difficult a thing to achieve as travelling in deep space to reach enchanting worlds of distant star in the cosmos. And then I think, as I think right now, may be one day we we will understand the nature of the universe a lot better alongside our own; and may be one day we will be able to travel across vast distances in the universe just by being so worthy and good for doing so. This is just one of few things i wonder about when I find time to look above as I trudge along the well-trodden pathways of my otherwise most mediocre life effort.

The eyes of a child. What it is like at the deepest part of the ocean. What Bush was thinking. Why I never seem to have enough money. What I am going to have for lunch today. Should I have another cup of coffee. Do I stop answering these questions. Is it going to rain. I wonder...
