i purchases a pc in one of my houses to try and order the food but that option isnt available, will my sims starve

You should be able to use the phone and choose the delivery option. You can then order food (you do need to have a fridge). The delivery guy will show up a few minutes later with a shopping basket full of goodies!
Also under the delivery option you can order pizza.
You should also be able to use the computer to get food delivered.

That's so weird. When you click on the computer, one of the options should be "Order Groceries." The phone also offers the option ("call.../delivery" then select "groceries"). If you get really desparate, and your sim can afford it, sell your refrigerator and buy a new one. Or use ctrl+shift+c "maxmotives" to save your sims' lives!
I don't think that you need to have a community lot that sells groceries in order to be able to order them online. It is really strange that your sims' computer isn't offering this option. Is your sims 2 version up to date? There is a patch for pets at EA Games, but I don't remember this being one of the glitches. Good luck!

get a fridge then when the deliviery man comes accept the deliviery the sim will take and put it in the fridge. It also depends on which espansion packs you have i have all of them. nightlife gives you grocerey store and open for business gives you a grocerey store. if you have them you need to make sure that they are meshed with your new neighborhood. when you open your neighborhood the circle at the top shouldn't have like little + signs by them if they do just hit them and add them to your neighborhood and you can go to places downtown!

You can either go to a communoty lot & buy food there, or click on the phone and order groceries.

u have to click on the computer in the game and then go shopping and there's all different shops click on all of them n u will find out which one sells food and drink

You just buy a fridge and they get the food out and make it themselves!

go into the neigborhood screen select a plot of land and turn it into a shop
