In your living room. Put on your favorite jamz and have a large mirror so you can see how are moving to the beat. Once you get comfortable with yourself, try new steps, and have a creative mind and a sense of humor about it. Practice makes perfect. If you can afford a coach or to take dance lessons, then you can do that too, but just make sure you feel comfortable and are confident on the dancefloor because your confidence (of lack of) will show on the dancefloor.

Hire a DI - Dance Instructor...........in the privacy of your home, you'd learn moves at your own pace...the one-on-one lesson is well worth the expense.
Buy dance video tapes.........watch, follow & practice...rewind, replay, slowmo as many times as necessary....you'd need a partner tho...unless you're willing to dance with the doorknob (don't laugh, I've done that many times). Skip the intro - go straight to advanced lessons.
Attend dance socials - usually they have 30 min- 1 hr. free lessons before the big dance...admission fees range from $3.00 to $10, depending on days & times (and of course, what city). While these places are teeming with beginners, stick around till late coz that's when the pros come.
Happy Dancing!

You could get D'Kwon's dance instructing tape and learn to move and groove like Napoleon.
